Student Family Resources and Campus Recreation’s Mountaineer KidZone (MKZ) invite our WVU families with children to enjoy some safe family fun!

Two activities are available, including videos you can watch at your convenience and a live mask-decorating Zoom event. You and your children can watch and listen to the Mountaineer and an MKZ teacher read two special stories. “All Are Welcome” complements WVU’s Diversity Week activities, while the story “A Little Spot Wears a Mask” focuses on the importance of wearing masks and ways to make it fun.

Also mark your calendar to join the Mountaineer and MKZ teachers on Wednesday, October 21 at 6 p.m. Your child(ren) can create masks and play physically-distanced “Simon Says” as well as practice ways to greet friends while wearing their mask.

Mask Making with the Mountaineer

Beginning Wednesday, October 14 you can reserve a mask craft kit for your child(ren) at  go.wvu.edu/MKZ-mask-making-event.

To pick up your kit, use the convenient Field Rec pod located just outside of the Student Rec Center, anytime between 9 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday through Friday; between 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday; and from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Supplies are limited to the first 200 children registered, but you do not need to have a kit to join in the live event!
